A place of useful research: Enhancing the impact of the Strathclyde Counselling & Psychotherapy Research Clinic: Social Anxiety

University of Strathclyde
Free to members of PCT Scotland

PCT Scotland is a stakeholder in a project being run by the Strathclyde Counselling and Psychotherapy Research Clinic (at the University of Strathclyde) called: A place of useful research: Enhancing the impact of the Strathclyde Counselling & Psychotherapy Research Clinic.

The project aims to foster knowledge exchange between practitioners and researchers in the counselling and psychotherapy field. As the research clinic focuses on person-centred therapy this project will be of specific interest to person-centred therapists and we hope that PCT Scotland members will want to take part.

Four free workshops are being offered as part of the project. The second of these looks at social anxiety.

All workshops will be held on the University of Strathclyde campus in the afternoon (1.30-5PM) beginning with a light lunch from 1pm.

We are delighted to announce that the project website is now up and running, please see link below:

The website contains more information about the workshops and the optional follow-up research element of the project. This will give you a better understanding of what is on offer. You should also be able to sign up to any of the workshops that interest you via a link to Eventbrite on the website. Please note that workshop places are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The project aims to foster knowledge exchange between practitioners and researchers in the counselling and psychotherapy field. As the research clinic focuses on person-centred therapy this project will be of specific interest to person-centred therapists and we hope that PCT Scotland members will want to take part.

Attendees at each workshop will be invited to take part in a follow-up research study that involves completing short anonymous online surveys at regular intervals after the workshop to find out what (if anything) you have taken away from the workshop. There is no obligation to take part in this study.

You can contact the project team at counselling-research-events@strath.ac.uk if you have any questions.
