Being other-oriented: connecting the non-directive attitude, cultural humility and power with Susan Stephen

The Spark, 100 Wellington Street, Glasgow G2 6DA | Organised by PCT Scotland | Wheelchair accessible
£50 for PCT Scotland members; £70 for non-members

**Please note this is a new date for this workshop, postponed from 23rd August.

In this workshop we will explore and develop an understanding of the connection between two concepts - the non-directive attitude and cultural humility - and consider how our own relationship with power may impact our ability to be truly other-oriented in our work with clients and supervisees.

Susan Stephen is a person-centred counsellor and supervisor based in Glasgow. She is a lecturer in counselling at the University of Strathclyde, Director of the Strathclyde Counselling and Psychotherapy Research Clinic, and a co-editor of the international journal, Person-Centered & Experiential Psychotherapies.

This is the fourth of this year's PCT Scotland workshops continuing the theme of the Person-centred Approach in Action. All of the events will be held at The Spark, 100 Wellington Street Glasgow G2 6DH. It is a dedicated training space close to both Central and Queen street stations giving easy access to public transport.
