What role does a counsellor’s imagination play in the therapeutic process?
What is the purpose of this research? This research aims to understand the role that the counsellor’s imagination may play in the therapeutic process. It will explore the experiences of person-centred counsellors to understand the relationship between imagination and the core conditions of person-centred counselling in the hope that it enriches professional knowledge.
Participation Criteria. I am looking to interview participants who meet the following criteria:
- Counsellors who work prominently from the person-centred modality.
- 3+ years of practise and/or 450+ hours post training.
- Practise privately or for an organisation who will approve their participation.
- Member of the BACP (or other professional organisation) and attend supervision of their client work.
- Reside in the UK.
What will participation involve? I am looking for participants who are willing to take part in an online interview of 1 hour.
