Leanne Taghizadeh, Counsellor and Supervisor

  • Online
    Glasgow

I have practiced as a counsellor since 2003, a couples' therapist since 2007 and a supervisor (individuals and groups) since 2010.  I have a passion for therapy, expecially couples and relationship work, and now practuce exclusively online with video and telephone therapy and supervision. I offer much experience and empathy to a wide range of clients, working with people aged over 18 individually, and with couples in intimate relationships, and also adult children with a parent (so a couple of sorts).

My experience covers both longer term and more brief, time limited therapy.  This has been gained in both third sector (Tom Allan Centre during my training), NHS (ongoing), private practice, working with Employee Assistance Programmes in person, via video and also telephone.  I believe that all mediums work well, as long as the client is fully comfortable.  Online has the added benefit of saving on travelling costs both with time and money, and means clients can choose from a much wider pool of therapists, adding to sense of agency and equity.

I gained BACP Accreditaton in 2006 amd Senior Accreditation in 2013 (no longer have this due to changes with BACP), however I do feel these accreditations have enhanced and proven my committment to the profession of counselling.
