Beinn Watson - Accessible Counselling in Glasgow City Centre

  • Glasgow

My name, Beinn (pronounced 'Ben'), means 'mountain' or 'hill' in Gaelic. This may be a useful analogy for the type of support I can provide as you explore the world and the difficulties it throws up. I offer a solid presence and a consistent, accepting, empathic relationship at whatever point I might join you as you chart your path through life.

My practice is based around Person-Centred Experiential Therapy and I hold an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy _with distinction_ from Strathclyde University. I offer this alongside Emotion-Focused Therapy and I am currently trained to Level 2. This means I can offer you a balance between an open, exploratory approach and specific therapeutic interventions to suit your needs and processing style. I believe in transparent, evidence-based practice and encourage regular dialogue around the therapeutic work, adjusting my approach in response.

I help a diverse range of people, have undertaken disability equality training and am committed to accessible and anti-discriminatory practice. I have worked with a wide range of experiences including disability, chronic illness, autism, neurodivergence, social-anxiety, trauma, self-harm, gender, sexuality, relationships, loss and redundancy.

I work in-person in Glasgow and offer online therapy UK wide.

I am BACP registered therapist no. 400364 and adhere to the ethical code of practice.

In line with my commitment to access, I operate a sliding scale pricing policy and will happily discuss what you can afford.
