Ali McBride

  • Edinburgh

I am a Registered Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and obtained my Postgraduate Diploma in person-centred counselling from the University of Strathclyde in 2001. Previously I obtained my MSW from the University of Edinburgh in 1992 and and a BSC in 1990. Alongside my academic path I have had a life-long commitment to my own growth and development and am interested in all learning that opens me up to be the most alive, open and accepting person I can be. I have built up a breadth and depth of experience over the years in working both on my own journey and with others. I am interested and experienced in working with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, abuse, bereavement, loss, trauma, sexual identity and relationship difficulties. Over the last 15 years I have worked primarily at a University counselling service, with a number of Employee Assistance Programmes and in my own private practice.I am based in North Edinburgh, Eh6, am easily accessible by public transport from the city centre and there is also plentiful free on street parking.
