Heather Whyte - Counselling Supervisor

  • Online
    Glasgow

I'm a BACP accredited person-centred counsellor and a qualified clinical supervisor. I have experience in supervising trainees, qualified therapists and in taking supervision groups.

I have previously worked for EAPs, in private practice, and in further and higher education. I currently work as a clinical lead for a charity, and have chosen to specialise in counselling children and young people - I have a professional development award in counselling children and young people aged 10-18, and I also teach on a BACP approved course designed to equip adult counsellors with the skills to work with this client group.

I'm very passionate about supporting other counsellors. As a supervisor I strive to create a warm, comfortable and safe space for each supervisee, to ensure they feel able to bring all aspects of their practice in order to grow and develop.

I utilise both person-centred and integrative models in my supervision practice, depending on the needs of each supervisee.

At the moment I work online using a number of different platforms, and I have evening availability on week days and day time availability at the weekend.

Each session (following the initial 15 minute consultation) will usually be either 60 minutes or 90 minutes, depending on the need of the supervisee. 45 minute sessions can be available on request - please contact me to discuss separate fees for this.
