Hello, my name is Angela Ramsay, and I am currently doing an MSc in psychology at the University of Wolverhampton. I am also a person-centred counsellor and an accredited member of BACP. I am currently working on my MSc dissertation and am conducting research into counsellors/psychotherapists’ experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular the challenges, impact, coping methods used, and any benefits of remote working.

I am seeking to recruit UK-based, qualified counsellors/psychotherapists who are members of a professional body and delivered therapy before, during (remotely), and after the pandemic. Participants will be required to engage in an interview for approximately one hour, which will be conducted and recorded on Microsoft Teams, and delivered in an empathic and respectful manner.

University policies and BPS research guidance are utilised to protect the privacy and well-being of all participants. Participants’ identifying information will be kept confidential and pseudonyms will be used in the processing and final write up of all research data, which will be presented in the form of themes, descriptions and interpretations of experiences.

If you, or someone you know, would like to find out more information about the study, please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
