A Call for Volunteers - Opportunity to take part in PCE Europe Symposium Glasgow, 21st - 23rd November 2025 - Facilitators wanted

‘Growing in difficult and challenging places’

PCT Scotland is one of three organisations helping to bring the PCE Europe Symposium to Glasgow in November later this year. The other organisations are Counselling Unit, University of Strathclyde and APCCA (Association of Person-Centred Creative Arts).

PCT Scotland will have responsibility for the Encounter Rooms which will run at the same time as the parallel workshop sessions. There will also be an online Encounter Room alongside each in-person session. 

We are inviting members of PCT Scotland to join the Encounter Team. The team will be responsible for facilitating both the in-person and online encounter groups which will take place morning and afternoon on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd November. We will need six other volunteers who will work in pairs alongside Terry Daly and Barbara Malinen.  Although it might be helpful if you have some experience of facilitating groups it isn't essential - we are looking for people who are excited by the possibilities of encounter and want to find out more.

There will be some time commitment over the next few months as we would like to meet as a group and develop the relationships between the facilitators prior to the encounters taking place. The Symposium and PCT Scotland will be subsidising each of the volunteers so that when you are not facilitating, you will be able to attend the rest of the symposium (in person or online).
