Research request

Hello, my name is Karen Carachi and I am a trainee counselling psychologist, currently completing my doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University. As part of the final stage of my training, I am conducting a study to understand the experiences of using person-centred therapy in forensic environments (e.g. NHS settings, prisons, private practice and voluntary sector organisations).

I am looking for qualified psychologists, counsellors or psychotherapists who have been practicing the above humanistic approach in forensic settings for at least one year. Participants would also need to be willing to share their experiences with me in an interview, which will last approximately sixty minutes. Interviews can be done in person or via Skype.

Anyone interested can email me on [email protected] and will have the chance to find out more about the study before coming to any decision. You would be under no obligation to take part.

My study is supervised by Tasim Martin Berg (C.Psychol. AFBPsS. HCPC Reg. Deputy Programme Leader & Lecturer) and she can be contacted on [email protected]. This study has been approved by the Psychology, Social Work and Allied Health Sciences Ethics Subcommittee of The School of Health and Life Sciences at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Thanks & kind regards,Karen
