This workshop - as a result of enthusiastic demand - will be a second opportunity to see a demonstration by David Mearns, author of the Person-Centred Counselling in Action books. Originally the video was created on a diploma at Strathclyde University and used as a teaching tool with students. The video prompted Dave to write a chapter in his book "Developing Person-Centred Counselling" called "The Quality of Presence".
The aim of the workshop will be to give people a chance to look at a demonstration of person-centred counselling and then explore reactions and responses. There will also be an opportunity in small group work to think about our own practice and any questions that the demonstration might raise.
The workshop will be facilitated by Terry Daly, who was "the client" in the video and will be answering questions about his experience.
Terry Daly: person-centred counsellor, supervisor and trainer working in UK and internationally for over 30 years delivering the person-centred approach.
