DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS 31 MAY 2019.
The workshop will use attachment theory as a way of creating a theoretical basis and a steer for understanding how to work with people with disordered eating of whatever kind. The workshop will consider all the major forms of eating disorders and will provide basic information about them. The major part of the workshop will offer numerous strategies for working with clients. The workshop will be active and interactive. Participants should be willing to reflect on their own eating behaviour and attachment history as well as that of their clients. Participants should have a sound basis for formulating an approach to working with clients and feel confident in what needs to be done. Given the lack of experienced and informed therapists to work with eating disorders, this workshop should enable counsellors to work with these clients with much more confidence
Facilitator - Julia Buckroyd is a very experienced therapist who has been working exclusively with people with eating disorders for 35 years.
