Based in Glasgow
Services that are offered: Counselling • Supervision
Professional accreditation: BACP (Counsellor)
I am a counsellor and supervisor working in Glasgow city centre.
As your counsellor, I will listen deeply to you and work with you to understand your experience of yourself, and the situations and stories that you share with me. I will respond to you and support you to explore and develop your understanding of yourself and the impact of the experience that has been troubling you. Through this process, it is likely that you will increase your self-awareness and self-acceptance and that these changes will enable you to find a way to resolve the distress that you are experiencing.
I offer person-centred supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, and other practitioners working within the caring professions. My aim is to develop a relationship with you in which you feel nurtured, stimulated and challenged, enabling you to review and reflect upon yourself and your practice openly and honestly, to develop and grow, and to work through ethical dilemmas as they arise.
As a supervisor I am able to draw on my experiences as a counsellor within an NHS-funded service, a voluntary organisation, in private practice and within an Employee Assistance Program company. I gained my Diploma in Counselling (University of Strathclyde) in 2004 and my Certificate in Person-Centred Supervision (PCT Personal Development) in 2008. I have been accredited as a counsellor/psychotherapist by the BACP since 2006.
