Dot Clark

I am in my early 60s, originally from Ayrshire, and I studied history, worked in finance and taught in Higher Education before training as a counsellor well over twenty years ago. (There's my interest in history.) I began practising as a volunteer in an agency for people affected by alcohol and then worked in student counselling 1993-97. I was a trainer at the Counselling Unit in the University of Strathclyde for ten years and now do some training with the University of Edinburgh. I do a lot of supervision of counsellors and enjoy exploring the aspects of person-centred practice which concern openness to experience, tolerance for not knowing and trust in process. I practise in central Edinburgh one day a week on Wednesdays and also from Aberdour in south Fife.
