Are you are person-centred counsellor working in the UK with clients who may be hearing voices, experiencing hallucinations or other unusual experiences? Such clients are sometimes described as experiencing psychosis or psychotic process.
I am seeking therapists and clients who may be open to taking part in my doctoral research study at the University of Strathclyde. This research is intended to help build an evidence base on the use of person-centred therapy with such clients.
The study requires therapists and clients who are willing to complete a set of questionnaires and interviews with a researcher at the beginning, during and after therapy. (I have full NHS approval but am not allowed to include lone working private practitioners)
If you are a therapist who regularly or even occasionally works with such clients and are interested in taking part, please contact me. Confidentiality will be maintained and overall results will be presented with full consent and be anonymised.
