“The Person-Centred Approach in Scotland, 2006”

Review of Survey Design

Introduction

Seek consent to reproduce narrative responses in any written work or presentation arising from the survey.

Question 1

Ask for actual number of years and group later, if required for analysis.

Question 2, Question 5 and Question 6

In order to keep survey simple and therefore maximise number of respondents, no distinction between which contexts (Q5) and other roles (Q6) are performed in which areas (Q2). Therefore limited in what we can say about these findings.

Question 9

Put “couples” in separate section.

Question 10

Use only one of “interest, competence or specialism”

Question 11

Ask for actual number of years and group later, if required for analysis.

Question 12

Results did not contribute to overall findings. Would omit.

Question 14

Use different examples (to compare any bias in responses).

Question 15

Miss out in order that all respondents have the chance to respond to Question 16. (Set to skip in surveymonkey.com)

Question 16

Change question to 'What aspects of your work(if any) do you consider to be innovative?' or some variation of same depending on emphasis/hypothesis of survey.
