Policy for including new links to the website

 

Our website has a page of links to other websites. These are arranged into categories as follows:

 

 

The links we include are specifically for providing information about PC

theory/practice, education and counselling in general that could be of interest to our members.

 

When considering whether a new link should be included the following should be considered.

  1. Usefulness to the membership in terms of counselling as a profession and PC as an approach.
  2. The breadth of scope of the website
  3. The professionalism of the website

 

Links should be added very sparingly in order to maintain the usefulness of this section and only if it clearly and comprehensively fulfils the above criteria should it be included.

 

For instance BACP has clearly a wide scope of relevance to our members in terms of counselling as a profession and is a professional organization. It has less relevance to PC as an approach.

 

The web group will be responsible for deciding which links will be included on the website.
