Part of my experience includes working with people who do or may identify as LGB and/or TQ people. I am also EMDR qualified. For 11 years I have worked in the field of abuse, where I have managed a project and worked with adults who experienced any form of abuse whilst in a formal care setting. I qualified as a counsellor in 2009 and I work in an integrative way which means that I adapt my style of counselling to what the client is responsive and open to. I work on a part-time basis for a counselling charity and have been a volunteer counsellor with them since I qualified. I run my own private counselling practice and I also organise workshops for counsellors. I am therefore fortunate enough to have had many hours of Continuing Professional Development in many different topics. I work hard to stay up-to-date with the latest counselling research, policies and techniques.

I am passionate about counselling and the opportunity it offers for growth and change in people’s lives.

I am currently studying to become a counselling supervisor through the University of Strathclyde as well as working through the accreditation process with BACP.

I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I have access to counselling rooms in various locations, including Kirkintilloch, Milton of Campsie, Falkirk, Milngavie and Glasgow City Centre.
