Greetings :-) My name is Tina Livingstone

Working with me can help strengthen you by unlocking your potential through a therapeutic relationship founded on unconditional positive regard, empathy and genuineness. I help people unravel their struggles, deconstruct what blocks them, and overcome internalised oppressions, so that they can move forward in life more comfortably.

I work with people of all Sex and Gender Diversities, as well as the mainstream; and offer particular expertise in Transgender, Transsexual, Gender Variant and Gender Queer issues. I support people in all types of family, diverse relationship bonds (including negotiated non-monogamy and poly networks) , have experience of working with donor parenting, and am Kink Aware.

I offer online therapy, via Skype, to English Speaking people around the world and telephone counselling throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.

I have given presentations at national and international level, was a keynote speaker at the BAPCA conference 2015 , deliver Professional Development Days for BACP, have been published in several professional journals, and wrote first chapter in “Counselling Ideologies” (Ashgate).

I also offer over a decade of experience as a counselling supervisor and consultant - supporting other counsellors in their quest for best practice both via Skype and in my own home.

Hello ,I believe that I am a warm and caring person and I enjoy working with people very much. I am wondering if there is any way in which I can help you with the problems that you are currently experiencing in your life. We all have problems and we all need support. Are you supportive to your self or do you think you just " need to pull yourself together and get on with it"?

I have worked in the NHS for many years as a Nurse Practitioner and have a good understanding of the impact that health issues have on each persons quality of life. I have also worked in the clinical area with people who had cancer and I currently volunteer with Cancer support Scotland. I have also had the privilege to work with people who had problems with their heart and lungs and who faced major surgery as a consequence of this. I know the impact this can have on the person and also the members of the family (carers). So many difficult situations for the people involved.

I have worked with people with depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, self loathing etc and I am also particularly interested in people presenting with relational and connection difficulties. People who do not feel welcome in this world and who feel alienated and isolated.

If you feel you would like to have a chat about whatever is getting under your skin at the moment or would want to tackle some other issues, please feel free to get in touch.

I have availability in a confidential space in my home. It is completely secluded and looks out on to the back garden. Parking is readily available. I also have access to a lovely room in Paisley town centre if preferred and there is some free parking here. There is also wheelchair access at this site only. I also have access to another room in the West end of Glasgow near Charing cross and just off woodlands road.

I am a person centred counsellor and whole heartedly believe in the effectiveness of counselling. I have experience in the voluntary and private sector and my background has been working in the NHS. I enjoy journeying with people as they explore their circumstances and gain insight and understanding which helps to take them forward from their present place.

S.K.H.Footprints - I offer a warm, friendly, professional, confidential counselling service in a safe and comfortable environment. My clients come from all walks of life but they all have one thing in common. They have all decided they wish to talk to someone about issues that are troubling them.
Pawprints - I offer my clients the choice of having my two therapy dogs in the counselling room. Animal Assisted Therapy can be beneficial in many ways. Their presence in the counselling room can help to relieve some of the tension and anxiety of therapy. I still counsel in a person centred way, but with the dogs, the client has a couple of furry non-judgemental companions in the room with them.
I am located in the peaceful village of Gilmourton, three miles outside Strathaven, South Lanarkshire. However, I can arrange to see clients at other locations in Kilmarnock and East Kilbride.
