I have over 25 years experience as a therapist specialising in both relationships & couple work and seeing individual clients.

I originally trained with Couple Counselling Scotland and then went on to undertake a Diploma in counselling and psychotherapy. In addition to extensive experience of a wide range of client issues, I managed the service of a major voluntary sector counselling agency here in Edinburgh for three years and have also been very involved in facilitating and training groups.

The person-centred approach has been core to all of my endeavours and I place a high emphasis and faith in individual's and couple's ability to solve and / or resolve their own difficulties. I put trust, respect and caring at the heart of my work and feedback suggests that I am generally found to be warm, welcoming and supportive.

Do get in touch if you would like to discuss your situation to see if I might be able to help. I offer a free initial session without obligation from my home in Merchiston. It is a discrete venue with off-street parking available.

I qualified as a counsellor in 2009 and I work in an integrative way which means that I adapt my style of counselling to what the client is responsive and open to. I work on a part-time basis for a counselling charity and have been a volunteer counsellor with them since I qualified. I run my own private counselling practice and I also organise workshops for counsellors. I am therefore fortunate enough to have had many hours of Continuing Professional Development in many different topics. I work hard to stay up-to-date with the latest counselling research, policies and techniques. I am passionate about counselling and the opportunity it offers for growth and change in people’s lives. I am about to embark on a counselling supervision course which will allow me to provide counselling support to other practicing counsellors. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I have access to counselling rooms in various locations, including Glasgow City Centre.
